Improv Comedy

I have been performing Improvisational comedy for well over 9 years. Improv comedy involves creating a scene without the aid of a script. In other words, it's just improvised. I'm constantly asked to perform at work and at churches. The problem is that improv a team effort. It can't be done alone, you need others to work with, work off of and to bail you out when you have no idea where to go.

I have the privilege to perform on a weekly basis at the National Comedy Theatre. After 5 years of performing in night clubs, bars and comedy clubs, I am one of the few fortunate to have a permanent home. Come see me perform the next time you're in San Diego, CA.

Improvisational Training

I've trained with the following groups.  They provide excellent opportunities to see if you've got the right stuff.

• National Comedy Theatre. If you want to learn basic improv skills and have good clean fun, go with ComedySportz.  If anything see one of their shows.
• South Coast Repertory.  The beginning and advanced improvisation class is great.  The teacher Greg Atkins will teach you a lot and if you get the chance you may even do a musical.  Be sure to get a copy of his book, Improv! : A Handbook for the Actor.
• Improv Olympic West.
