Disney
Institute - Outdoor Picture Photo Gallery
Introduction
I mention in the earlier pages that I took some courses at the Disney
Institute. The first course I took was Outdoor Photography.
We first began the class by learning the basics of our equipment. I was
allowed to use a Nikon N-90. This is an incredible camera. I loved it
and if I had the money, I would have bought that. We headed over to Walt
Disney World's wildlife habitat--Discovery Island.
Take a look at some of the results of my trip.

Not only were we allowed to use Nikon N-90's, we were allowed to
borrow an assortment of lenses. For the eagle, I used a 1000mm.
It really brought me close to this eagle. This exciting opportunity
was almost ruined by a plant. I cropped this photo to remove it.
The common comment about this photo is: just how close did I get.
I was on a bridge just over the crocodile (sic). The tip here is
try to get into different positions and locations around the subject.
Reptiles like these don't pose, so you have to pose for them.
This is one of my favorite pictures. Mainly because it reminds me
of what happens when you don't rub your eyes when you wake up in
the morning.
Think about backgrounds when taking pictures. This picture came
close to being ruined because the background didn't contrast the
subject enough.
These pictures were taken with a Macro lens. I can't wait until
I buy one for my own. When you can fill up a picture with a close
up of flowers, you can get truly exciting pictures.
The next two pictures were taken on my Canoe Adventure at the Institute.
Both were taken with my Kodak Point and Shoot.
This picture is a little bittersweet. It was the last picture I
took while I was at the Disney Institute. It's an image I will take
with me always.
