Finding a church home was never easy for the family. We’ve stayed away from the rigid legalism of the fundamentalist. We’ve avoided the judgmental spirit-filled charismatics. Ironically, we found our home returning to a Southern Baptist Church. We’re at Saddleback Church.
They just opened a new campus at Yorba Linda High School, which means we can leave our house really late and still be a little late. Next step? Get plugged in.
That’s us with our pastor Santosh Swamidas and founding pastor Rick Warren.
Not often you get to check off an item on the parenting bucket list. But that happened this past Sunday. The kid and I went to our first WWE Live Event at the Honda Center in Anaheim.
It’s one of those moments when you pass on the love of wrestling to your kid. She has a vague notion that maybe the sport is fake, but she has favorites (Sheamus and Bayley) and she cheers for the good guys and jeers the bad guys.
There’s nothing like seeing your kid get made at Enzo Amore because he made fun of Anaheim–The city her cousin lives in. She got even more angry at the Shield for beating Sheamus, Cesaro and Samoa Joe. She wished she could hug Bayley.
The event itself was fun. They were just matches. No commentary. No lame backstage vignettes. Just plain matches. Also, the stars get to interact with the fans longer. While leaving the right, Asuka and Bayley spent a considerable amount of time taking selfies with fans.
Best Matches – Asuka vs. Alicia Fox – Enzo Amore vs. Kalisto
